She prides herself in thinking "out of the box". When told that women don't go to college, she didn’t believe it. Eventually she received her Master’s degree. Always looking for new and exciting venues for self-expression, she attended the Neighborhood Playhouse and American Music and Dramatic Academy in New York City to follow a dream of becoming a professional singer.
The dream came true when she became a Serendipity Singer, a popular folk group in the 60's, appearing on Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, and a number of other national TV shows. After touring with the group for several years, Jo Ann moved to Florida and pursued careers in education and psychotherapy.
Simultaneously she worked as a model/actor appearing in national TV commercials and magazines. With 23 years of educational leadership experience in the public and private sectors, and 17 years in private practice as a Gestalt Therapist, Jo Ann has helped countless people enjoy breakthroughs from limiting beliefs.
Using humor and wisdom, she teaches how anyone can
utilize powerful tools and gain strategies for optimal living.
