You may even choose from a variety of travel subjects he's well versed in – for example:

Freezing to death in the Sierras
Getting chased by black buffaloes or pitching your tent in a herd of elephants in Uganda
Getting malaria in Papua New Guinea, food poisoning in Spain and giardiassis in the Rockies.
He is a competent authority on neck injuries and can discuss crashing in a plane, crashing in a hang glider, crashing off a horse, getting clubbed on the head and the more mundane crashing in a car.
